It was a beautiful weekend in the 60's. I went hiking with my friends Cheryl and Frances--Emma and Jelly too. We started at Thunderbird Falls and then moved on to Eklutna Lake. Eklutna Lake in is the Chugach Mountains--it's a very cool state park. You can rent bikes and kayaks--camp, 4 wheel--It's open year round, so I bet the X skiing is awesome!
We then explored the old village of Eklutna--there is a Russian Orthodox-Native Church and cemetery. These are Spirit Houses in the cemetery.
