Happy New Year!

I just finished my second Christmas here in Alaska. I'm back at Bronwyn's, house and dog sitting as she basks in the sun in Mexico...hummmm....next year!

I still have my Christmas find from last year--Larry-Ha! Lucky he doesn't read my blog--LOL!

Katie hopefully will be here tomorrow after two travel mishaps--weather in the Midwest is much worse than here--believe it or not! It's been in the low 30's here, but we could use a bit more snow for the ski trails!

Another week of break still to go-- I have been watching movies like it's my job,--saw Mr. Art Critic--set on Mackinac Island...made me a bit homesick, especially when the guy bought a six pack of Bell's Oberon--my favorite! It just so happens that I was wearing my Oberon t-shirt--that made me happy! By the way, local TC crooner Jay Weber was in the film too. I think I have had a couple of Oberons listening to Jay on a deck or two somewhere in Northern Michigan--ahhhh...good times!

I have a week full of activities when Katie gets here--The Chocolate Lounge--Simon's, Nordstrom's, reindeer hotdogs and (don't tell her) outdoor activities!! I Have some X-skis and snowshoes waiting for her--woo-hoo!
By the way, she turns 20 on New Years Day!! No more teenager for me!

Have a wonderful and peaceful New Year!
