I get those pictures so big? I must have hit a wrong button--oh well they are so beautiful!
I should be grading book reports, instead I made cookies, did the dishes, numerous crossword puzzles, read the paper, etc. The semester ends Friday and I can hardly wait--I NEED A BREAK!
Katie gets here December 26th and we are house and dog sitting Lucy--should be fun. Anchorage is stunning in the winter--the Christmas lights are fabulous and there are big fireworks on New Years Eve...
The darkness is getting to me this year. I heard that the second year is when you really notice the lack of light. The long summer days are behind us, and it seems as though it is always dark...cold...and dark! But, the Winter Solstice will soon be here and every day will become lighter than the last!
Anchorage has been socked in by ice-fog. It's cold and creepy--looks like a nuclear winter outside. But once the sun comes out, the remains of the ice is gorgeous. it sticks to everything and adds a shimmery glow about.
By the way, they cannot predict weather here--worse than the TC weather liars--if you can believe that. No one listens to the weather people here--they laugh at me because I do...
